This small-run shirt design comes in collaboration with LA-based artist and musician Alfredo Gonzalez-Martinez, AKA El Keamo. As the music of El Keamo rushes through multiple styles and sounds to discover the in-between area of traditional and contemporary expressions, El Baile Digital is a visual celebration of this exercise. Designed by Carlos Avila of Proyectos Tyrone, this shirt features graphic imagery from various Mexica codices interwoven with contemporary bespoke typographic treatment and visual language motifs to merge past and present through a distinct “818” lens. 

Printed in Van Nuys, Los Angeles by expert music merch production house Blythe Printing Studio on natural white, 6-oz. 100% cotton fiber. **Model Leah is 5’7 and wearing size L&#38;nbsp;

	Bonsai “Bootleg Edition” 10 ML Aromatic Roller
	
Bonsai is a scent about contrast and asymmetry, pleasantly disconcerted by experiencing an intimate, miniature version of our larger selves. Developed and compounded in micro batches by LA-based art and scent studio J.Pera, this scent is inspired by the work of Chido-En and Javier Ramirez, with the melding of cultures in the city of LA. Featuring copal, seaweed, orange blossom, and juniper berry. 

Each ingredient brings a piece of the story together. Copal: the sap used as incense in traditional Mexican households, Orange Blossom: The fruit iconic to the San Fernando Valley, Juniper Berry: The essence of a Juniper Bonsai, and seaweed: the plant that grows in the oceans touching the parallel shores of Japan and California. 

Use the 10 ML Aromatic Oil to create a distinctive fragrant mark by applying it on your skin any time of the day lasting for a few hours.

	Chido–EN Jardinero Shirt
	
Unlike the majority of international cities, Los Angeles is primarily made up of large sprawling suburban neighborhoods built after WWII. A prototypical home features a prominent front yard with a lawn using non-native Kentucky Bluegrass symbolic of the American Dream for most of the twentieth century. These lawns have been historically maintained by different waves of immigrants of color — be it Japanese and Korean diasporas of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries or the Mexican and Central American diasporas from the late twentieth century until today. 

The LA landscaper endures many physical challenges due to the nature of their work, but there are also external factors that make this work challenging. Landscapers are usually viewed as a necessary nuisance, exploited by both neighborhood councils and their own clients, who often complain about noise pollution, the cost of services, and even question their legal status in the country. These factors all play into the perception of the residential landscaper as a low-skill, non-desirable job. The reality is that most landscapers are proud of their work and have skills that take years to acquire.&#38;nbsp;Many of these landscapers have become entrepreneurs, building a large client base with multiple employees. 

As a landscaper's business grows, promotion and utility naturally merge in printed and branded company worker garments. The most practical garment being the T-Shirt, usually seen as a long sleeve tee in bright colors for maximum visibility, safety, and protection from the brutal LA sun. Aside from its utility purpose, the company shirt visualizes and denotes a sense of professionalism and legitimacy while helping promote the company and instill pride for the wearer. The Chido-EN Jardinero shirt is directly inspired by these landscaper shirts that are seen throughout the city's neighborhood lawns.

Printed in Van Nuys, LA by Blythe Printing Studio on off-yellow Comfort Colors, 6.1-ounce, 100% ring-spun cotton.

Experimental potting pushes the tree’s limits and challenges the art form’s technical and artistic boundaries; it frames new conversations and often sparks controversy. “Ando Chido” manifests Chido-En in the most literal fashion, juxtaposing an ancient Japanese art form with the living visual language of Mexican-American culture in LA. This tree should remain outdoors and watered every day. Bring indoors only when being displayed for short periods. &#38;nbsp;Since the tree has been recently re-potted, the artist cannot guarantee the tree’s life—however—the artists will make all efforts to consult with you on how best to keep the tree alive. 

Each tree includes a consultation with Javier, where care and maintenance tips will be discussed and best practices for providing the best conditions for your tree to thrive. Additional consultations and styling sessions could be arranged at a later date.

A less traditional type of tree used for Bonsai, it is a popular tree for people who like to have their tree live primarily indoors. It’s a hardy tree that easily adapts to changing environments. This Bonsai has large leaves that grow from stems at the top of the plant. Javier tells us, “Ficus Benjamina do really well in the LA climate and work well indoors. They are very easy and forgiving trees as long as you keep them watered.” This tree could stay indoors but should be in direct sunlight or spend half its time outdoors. Water tree every day. Protect from extreme cold and frost in the winter.

The Portulacaria Afra is one of the few succulent you can Bonsai. Since it is succulent, it is very hearty and can withstand long periods without water making them excellent plants for beginners. Javier tells us “I ‘ve worked on this tree for a few years and am happy with the semi-cascade shape it has. It's a rare style to get on a tree like this.” This tree should remain outdoors and watered every day. Bring indoors only when being displayed for short periods.

	MOLE—Shibori


Special editioned one-of-a-kind shibori dyed Mole shirts from LA garment and dye-work studio ess.y.ess. The artist examined the amount of labor involved in the process of mole-making with that of shibori dye-work. The result is intricately laid dye designs, crafted after a laborious process of folding and washing.  

"I mixed a color that reminded me of mole rojo and the red grease stains I'd get on my clothes as a kid. I used shibori techniques to make a different unique design on every shirt. The process involved making little consistent folds and binding the cloth with a tiny knot after tiny knot.
